Taylor Swift is Taylor Alison Swift. She was born 13 December 1989 in Pennsylvania's West Reading. Swift has been a singer/songwriter from the pop/country genre for more than 20 years. Stories of romantic love in the midst of heartbreak and young love have earned her wide acclaim throughout the 21st century. Swift was interested in music since a young stage of her life. Swift swiftly rose through to the top of the ladder, beginning by playing roles in the theater for children as well as performing before crowds of people. Swift was 11 years old when she performed The Star-Spangled Banner at a Philadelphia 76ers Basketball match. The following year Swift began to write songs and started playing the guitar. Swift wrote original songs that was inspired by country artists like Shania Twain (now known as the Chicks), and Dixie Chicks. Her material expresses her life as an adolescent. Swift was forced to move from Pennsylvania along with her parents into Hendersonville, Tennessee after she reached 13 and decided to spend more time to wooing bands of the country genre in Nashville.
